Bike Palo Alto is an annual bike ride which helps locals discover low-stress ways to get around the city. It starts at El Carmelo Elementary School on Bryant at Loma Verde. Participants will get maps, a helmet fitting, treats and more. The event offers three bike-friendly routes which riders can try out at their own pace.
This year, Bike Palo Alto will feature something new: a Bike & Roll Expo on the Civic Plaza downtown at Palo Alto's City Hall. Ever wondered if an electric bike was for you? Or electric skateboard or scooter? Or whether you could get a collapsable bike on Caltrain, or how you could get your kids and groceries around town on a bike? You may have heard about “protected” bikeways and never experienced one, or wanted to decorate your bike to make it more fun. Well, on Oct 2nd you can demo all these and more! There will be a band and treats to add to the festivities.
Ride Bike Palo Alto starting at El Carmelo Elementary, then head to the Bike ’N Roll Expo in front of Palo Alto City Hall, on Sunday October 2nd, all from 1 - 4 pm.
It's a free event, but pre-registration is recommended: RSVP
