ACTION ALERT: Protected Bike Lanes for Graham Students up for Approval

On Tuesday, March 29th at 6:30 pm, Mountain View's City Council will cast their final vote for protected bike lanes for Graham Students.  The improvements are designed for Castro Street from El Camino to Miramonte.  Please consider going to City Hall at 6:30 to support the project.

The item (4.6 on the agenda) will be voted on as part of the consent calendar.  The Consent Calendar is a long list of items which is usually approved with no discussion becasue the council has discussed these items before.  When an item is "pulled off the consent calendar," it is becasue someone wants to discuss it further, usually because they oppose it.  If this one item gets pulled for discussion, it is important people speak in support of the project.  No need to speak otherwise.

Please attend Tuesday's city council meeting to support the Castro Street improvements if the item is pulled for discussion.

Graham students will be safer because of it.

Note: The consent calendar is likely to be a very quick agenda item.  However, there is a 5:30 study session that may run very long and push the consent calendar as late as 7:45.  If you are interested in coming but not staying very long, I would be happy to text you when the study session is wrapping up.  You could wait for my text, race to city hall then, watch the vote, speak in favor if the item is pulled for discussion, then head right back home.  If you're interested in being alerted, email me your cell phone number so I can text you: cherie@safemountainview.org

Ride on!
